How Do You Have A Conversation With A Crying Robot?
Greetings My Loyal Minions, Maxx Fisher Here
Big Brother can be an emotional show. Mostly for me, if you can count rage as an emotion. In the early days of the season you can excuse people crying because you haven't seen them act like a blubbering mess for the last 2 months. And as stoney as my heart is, sometimes a houseguest can get to me. But more on that later.
We return to the show right after Chris announces the 8 people that will be safe. Angela & Kaitlyn are in the storage room and are not happy. Especially Kaitlyn because...I have no idea. But she is calling Chris all kinds of names. And this proves to me that she has never seen the show because she says all of this in a normal tone, no whispering, and a passing by Chris hears all of this. Kaitlyn is dead to him...until a few minutes later when Kaitlyn admits to what she did and says that ultimately he has to do what's good for his game. He is so touched by this that he decides to join her meditation class along with Bayleigh, Angie, Faysal & Haleigh. I wonder if they will form a very relaxed alliance.
Sam is back so that must mean it's time for the HOH competition. Now I know that BB likes their twists and I normally find them infuriating, but this time I think it's fair. The 8 people that Chris made safe last night won't be participating. Playing tonight will be Angela, Bayleigh, JC, Kaitlyn, Sam, Steve, Tyler & Winston. It's a fairly straightforward Big Brother game. Each contestant has to cross a beam, grab a ball, bring it back and put it in another player's tube. Each time a tube is filled that player is out. Last hamster standing is the winner
Winston and Angela team up and focus on getting Sam out. She is feeling targeted and she is correct. She's the first one out, followed shortly by Steve. Speaking of shortly, JC does not want to win this HOH and he's got the right idea. He isn't on anyone's radar so he is not going on the block and if he's out, he can compete in next week's HOH. Tyler and Bayliegh have been a bit of a team throughout this game, but once he started putting balls in her tube she was not happy. But too bad or her, Tyler wins HOH. And strangely, there is no HOH room reveal. I'm glad they seem to have dropped that.
Kaitlyn wants Angela out, just earlier in the episode she was on Angela's side completely indignant that Chris didn't protect her. Kaitlyn, Angie, Faysal and Haleigh try to convince Tyler not to put up Sam & Steve (the 2 safest choices as they were the first 2 out of the competition). They want Angela & Winston on the block. Chris comes in and backs all of this up. Little do they know that Winston had some to Tyler earlier suggesting an alliance between the two of them plus Rachel, Angela, Kaycee and Tyler.
Sam has to go back to being a robot and she is really not taking it well. She's feels isolated (she is), she feels targeted (she is), she feels like she is going home (toss up). She talks with Tyler in the storage room and it actually gets pretty emotional. She states her case but says she's not going to beg and she isn't going to day anything bad about anyone else. You might want to go home now then Sam. This is actually affecting Tyler. He is trying not to cry, Sam is not trying at all. You can hear her crying. He assures her that no matter what happens, she is not the target, meaning she is going up on the block.
Time for nominations. But Kaycee can't be there. Her Pinwheel of Doom starts spinning while she is in the backyard so she can't go in for the ceremony. Tyler Turns the first key and a picture of Robot Sam appears. That's cold Big Brother. Second key reveals Steve. The safe and easy solution.
I leave you with this my emotional automatons, was Chris just slightly less obnoxious this episode? Probably, as it would almost be impossible for him be worse than he was last episode. Although I did learn tonight that he's got his stupid nickname (that he gave himself) on every piece of clothing he has in the house. Does Sam have a chance of sticking around? In future episodes will being turned into a robot be a punishment again? Is it possible that by the end of the season every player will be a robot? Is this Skynet? Westworld? Gobots? Don't ask me, I'm still crying over the sad, lonely robot.
